The first baby picture my mother has of me (out of the hospital), she is holding me in front of the gucci store in NYC's midtown. She is the epitome of 70s chic: bell-bottoms, wedge heels, trench coat, large sunglasses (Rachel Zoe would be proud) and I, well I am a baby. I'm wrapped in swaddling. But I'm also pointing at an array of Gucci monogram bags and giggling. We should have known then.
20 . . . um . . . yes, 20 years later, Gucci still brings a smile to my face. So, I couldn't help but break out in a major grin when I saw today's new arrivals post. We've got Gucci all through the era's-from 70s glam to Tom Ford and Beyond. I wish I could buy this bag for my mom in that old picture. It would have completed our look: Gucci girls out on the town.
